Are you an experienced legal officer with international ambition? For one of our international clients in financial and legal services, we are looking for a Senior Legal Officer (also called Senior Legal Account Manager). A challenging position in which you are responsible for managing a diverse client portfolio as well as playing a key role in the further growth of the Curaçao office.

About the role:

As Senior Legal Officer, you will be the legal point of contact for international clients. You assist them in all areas of corporate law and corporate housekeeping, and ensure that their companies comply with the applicable laws and regulations. In doing so, you interact intensively with clients, advisers, notaries and banks, and work closely with your colleagues from Finance and Legal.

Besides your role as content expert, you actively contribute to the coaching and development of (junior) colleagues. You will have the space to further develop your own expertise and leave your mark on the service.

What will you do?

• Manage an international portfolio of companies.
• Drafting and reviewing legal documents (resolutions, contracts, powers of attorney, loan agreements).
• Coordinate incorporation, maintenance and dissolution of companies.
• Perform client due diligence on new relationships and supervise compliance processes.
• Maintain contact with clients, consultants and regulators.
• Organising and taking minutes of shareholder and board meetings.
• Identify commercial opportunities and contribute to business development.
• Supervise and coach junior team members.

What do you bring?

• Completed university studies in Law (preferably business, corporate or tax law).
• Minimum 5 years' experience in corporate services or fiduciary services.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both oral and written.
• Thorough knowledge of relevant local and international regulations.
• Analytically strong, structured and stress-resistant.
• Customer-oriented and communicative, with a proactive attitude.
