About Abracad
Abracad is an internationally oriented machine construction company that specialises in developing and building special machines for the food industry. We do everything in-house: engineering, welding, assembly, electrics and testing. That makes the work varied, instructive and concrete.
For this relationship, we are looking for a Project leader/technical construction engineer
At Abracad, you don't design from a distance. Their drawing office is directly adjacent to the workshop. That means short lines, direct feedback and designs that you literally see coming into being. From the initial concept to the customer's running machine - you are involved.
What will you do?
As a structural engineer/project leader, you will work in the engineering department (approx. 3-4 people) and, together with your colleagues, carry out complete projects. You are involved from the quotation phase through to delivery.
Your duties will include:
- Designs from layout to detail drawings
- Technical thinking on solutions and improvements
- Coordination with workshop and suppliers
- On-the-job supervision of projects
- Internal and external point of contact within your projects
- Occasional opportunity to go along on customer installations
Why work in the drawing office at Abracad?
What sets us apart is especially noticeable in practice:
- The drawing office is next to the workshop: you are automatically involved in everything that happens there
- Small team, flat organisation: short lines, quick decisions
- Continuous development: improvements and new ideas are immediately implemented in the next project
- Lots of freedom for personal input: your ideas matter
- Designs that you can occasionally assemble and/or test yourself - the best feedback an engineer can get
- Everything is built and tested in-house
What do you bring?
- HBO working and thinking level (mechanical engineering or mechatronics)
- Practical experience in mechanical engineering is a plus
- Experience with Inventor (or similar CAD programme)
- You think solution-oriented and take responsibility
- Command of Dutch and English
- Willingness to undertake short working visits at home and abroad
What do you get in return?
- Employment in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for the Metal & Engineering Industry
- 25 holidays and 13 ADV days for a 38-hour working week
- An excellent salary, depending on age and experience between EUR 50,000 and EUR 71,000
- Varied and substantively strong projects
- Lots of room for own initiative and development
- Opportunities for training and growth
- Pleasant, informal working atmosphere in a small team
- Fun company outings
