From its IJmuiden home base, Danieli Corus prepares and executes projects, ranging from technical consultancy to the construction and commissioning of entire blast furnace facilities. All technology is state-of-the-art and customized to fit client requirements. Much of the approximate 150 million Euro business volume is based in emerging economies. Danieli Corus has around 300 employees, working at offices in The Netherlands, India and China.

Job Description:

As a metallurgist steelmaking, you will be our key expert regarding questions and calculations of any metallurgical nature in product development as well as technology implementation during projects. Your work will be essential for our new designs and solutions, while at the same time being the key to assessing and validating existing ones.

Requirements?

• Technical education in metallurgy at academic level, certified with a diploma
• Knowledge of metallurgical technology development
• Knowledge of process calculations, modelling activities and statistical processing of the measurement results
• Experience (at least 5 years) in the field of technology, preferably for the steel industry
• Willingness to travel abroad
• Fluent in English

Preferred Skills and Competencies

• Experience in BOF Steelmaking Operations or Operational Support
• Experience with CFD modelling software
