Your challenge as a Sales Manager

 As an Inside Sales Representative, you are the first point of contact for technical customer enquiries. You analyse the need, advise on suitable solutions and prepare quotations. You manage sales orders from request to delivery and ensure that agreements made are kept. You also think proactively about improving processes and spot commercial opportunities that you take up together with the team.

 Duties & responsibilities

  • Technical advice to customers on valves and automation components
  • Approach (potential) customers by phone to realise commercial opportunities.
  • Preparation of customised quotations and follow-up of requests
  • Entering and monitoring sales orders in the system
  • Coordinating with purchasing and workshop on availability and delivery times
  • Monitoring and ensuring quality and delivery reliability
  • Spotting sales opportunities and supporting the field sales team
  • Actively contribute to knowledge sharing and process optimisation
  • You carry out market analyses and strategic acquisitions in line with business objectives.
  • Reporting to the Commercial Manager.

Who are you?

  • MBO+ or HBO working and thinking level, preferably with technical background (Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or Process Technology)
  • Experience in a commercial inside sales position or similar role is an advantage
  • Affinity with engineering or industrial products (e.g. valves, actuators, flow technology)
  • Customer- and solution-oriented, communicative and structured
  • Good command of Dutch and English (German is an advantage)
  • You can handle MS Office 365, ERP and CRM software and other commercial tools.
  • Eager to learn, flexible and a real team player
