Industrial Gas Technology Service Engineer (24–40 hours)

On behalf of our client, PD Gas Technology in Nijmegen, Excellentum is looking for an enthusiastic Service Technician who wishes to develop into a specialist in industrial gas technology.

What will you do?

As a Service Technician, you will ensure that high-quality gas appliances continue to operate safely and at peak performance. You will work both at the workshop in Nijmegen and at a variety of interesting client sites across the Netherlands and Belgium.

No two days are the same. One day you’re calibrating a sophisticated gas analyser; the next, you’re sorting out a technical fault at a customer’s premises.

Your main responsibilities:

• Maintenance, testing and calibration of gas mixing and analysis equipment.
• Identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical faults.
• Repairing, assembling and adjusting technical components and systems.
• Carrying out preventive maintenance at customers’ premises.
• Documenting work carried out and drawing up calibration reports.
• Advising customers on technical solutions and maintenance.

You’ll be given a great deal of independence and responsibility, whilst always being able to draw on your colleagues’ technical expertise.

Who are we looking for?

We are not looking for a specialist who already knows everything, but for a driven, technically skilled and eager-to-learn professional who is keen to develop further.

You have:

• A completed technical MBO qualification, for example in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or mechatronics, or a comparable level of working and thinking skills acquired through relevant work experience.
• Technical insight and a practical, solution-oriented approach.
• An interest in mechanical and electrical systems.
• An independent, meticulous and customer-focused approach to work.
• Good communication skills.
• Driving licence B.

Experience in measurement and control technology, instrumentation or industrial gas technology would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Your motivation and drive, technical insight and eagerness to learn are just as important as your experience.
