Food Market Relations Manager

In this role you will design and implement their new vision for their Innovative Agricultural Solutions (IAS) organization in what they call “Rock to Fork”, from a reduced carbon footprint to improved food quality. Initiating contacts and joint projects between ICL and the food conglomerates as well as promoting new developments supporting the food industry requirements to create added value in the food chain as well as for ICL.
In order to best leverage our fertilizer assets and to enhance our commercial excellence, ICL recently implemented a new commercial operating model facing the agriculture end-markets. ICL’s strategy aims to build and solidify business leadership, leveraging their 3 core mineral chains, innovation and a winning corporate culture.
ICL values sustainable development and innovation for a better future and believes that cooperating with the end market will enable better compatibility with the future needs of the market they are serving. By strengthening their agricultural commercial front and marketing brand, they will be able to better leverage their existing and newly developed products and deepen their presence in agricultural sales channels to create growth.

About the job
You will develop, manage and initiate all contacts between IAS and the Food industry to create added value in the end-to-end Crop value Chain. This is in line with their “Rock to Fork” vision, to become a leader in sustainable fertilizers by leading programs in cooperation with Food companies.

In addition, you will lead the IAS internal development to enhance the value proposition of their portfolio related to the end consumer and food industry requirements.

• Initiate and manage IAS contacts with the strategic procurement and business development of the Food industry related to the crop value chain.
• Initiate and lead joint projects with food companies in order to promote new developments for IAS targeting the food industry requirements.
• Represent IAS in “Rock to Fork” external initiatives.
• Be the focal point for food industry developments and market trends
• Initiate R&D and Agronomy projects based on the “Rock to Fork” project
• Promote IAS products and services in the food industry companies

About you
ICL brings you the challenge, you bring the connections. To bring this vision to life our client needs a strong professional with a strategic mind-set that knows how to open doors in the Food industry. Therefore, you already have at least 10 years of experience in which you have developed strategies connected to the value chain of Agri businesses: this can be either from a procurement, strategic sourcing or in a business development role in th Food Industry.

Furthermore, you have
• a strategic mind-set with a can-do mentality
• deep knowledge of the Food industry related to the crop or Agri value chain
• excellent knowledge of the English language, both verbally and in writing. Any other languages are an advantage

Location: Depending on the right candidate globally the right location will be discussed.
