Marcel has over 30 years of experience in the European FMCG and AGRI / Food industry and has worked for both listed blue chip companies and independent family businesses.

Started at the base as a trainee / retail representative at an American detergent giant and before his start at Excellentum worked as a member of the Board of a leading FMCG / Retail marketing agency in Switzerland. Marcel has lived and worked in Germany / Switzerland for over 10 years and is used to working in a professional multicultural environment.

Within the Excellentum team, Marcel will mainly focus on the aforementioned sectors for General Management and Board positions as well as commercial and (food) processing functions. His special attention and knowledge is devoted to "plant-based foods", a rapidly growing market that is knowledge-intensive.

Assessments describe Marcel as a "corporate entrepreneur", with a strong focus on human capital, teamwork, structure and strategy.

Marcel has a BSc in Commercial Economics, followed training at MIT and INSEAD and is fluent in English and German.

In his private life, Marcel is not only looking for the suitable candidate for his clients, but has been crossing the African bush for 20 years, preferably with a 4 × 4 and a rooftop tent in search of …… ..nothing, "go with the flow"!
