Financial Controller Western Europe<\/strong><\/p>\n This role is responsible for the overall financial control of the Western Europe business activities (Benelux, France) as well as involvement in other markets such as Sweden, Finland, Spain. He\/she ensures all reporting requirements are delivered timely and accurately to the EMEA regional leadership and the US parent company, is the business partner to the Western Europe General Manager and the senior management team. He\/she manages the Western Europe finance team which is based in various locations.<\/p>\n Job responsibilities:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Reports to the EMEA CFO, EMEA FC and Western Europe GM. \nEnsure all risks, opportunities and potential issues are identified, highlighted and addressed.
\nPartner with Western Europe GM and SMT to review and analyze results, provide financial guidance, set business strategy etc.
\nManagement of Western Europe finance team, with direct and indirect reports. Mentoring, coaching and line management. Allocate roles and responsibilities with continual review to ensure best practices are adhered to and maintain alignment to the Convergint global policies.
\nEnsure all statutory and tax reporting and compliance is completed on time, in all the markets under your remit. Includes statutory accounts, annual returns, tax submissions and VAT returns.
\nAudit lead and key point of contact with all external accounting and legal contacts<\/p>\n
\nkey role in implementation of a new ERP system in Western Europe and across a number of other EMEA markets
\nDevelop and drive initiatives to continually improve processes and internal controls
\nLead the overal education of the business regarding the importance of solid financial management and controls
\nSupport finance team members’ efforts to regularly train the non-finance side of the business in procedures and policies.<\/p>\n
\nProficient knowledge of ERP and financial consolidation systems. NetSuite and Spectrum experience will be an advantage
\nStrong technical accountancy skills
\nexcellent organizational,numeracy and interpersonal skills
\nAbility to supervise others<\/p>\n
\nand at least 7 years post qualification experience in industry
\nEMEA and\/or global finance experience
\nworking in a complex, matrix style organization
\nProven and strong financial leadership including management of staff
\nKnowledge of reporting in US GAAP and IFRS
\nSystems implementation, additional European languages and cross border VAT would be an advantage<\/p>\n
